FAQS

The TRW Foamworx team answers the common question related to Spray Foam & Blown Insulation

  • What are the benefits of spray foam over traditional insulation

Spray Foam Insulation does a variety of things better than batt or blown-in insulation that makes it the superior choice for insulation. The benefits include:

    • Improves Air Quality
    • Increases the Structural Integrity
    • Not Allowing Mold Growth
    • Providing Energy Savings
    • Prevents Bugs and Small Rodents from Entering the Space
    • Reduces Wear & Tear on your HVAC System
    • Lasts the lifetime of your building
  • How does spray foam work?

A two-part mixture is applied by trained professionals to the surface to be insulated. The spray mixture expands rapidly to fill all cracks and voids, completely and permanently adhering to wood, masonry, metal, concrete, and most other construction materials.

  • Does spray foam insulation produce harmful gasses? Are these a concern and does the building need to be unoccupied

When in the application process off-gassing is occurring and does require proper PPE to be within spray zone. When applied correctly by a trained professional any off-gassing should subside within a 24 hour period, at which point occupancy would be permitted.

  • What are the benefits of using blown-In Insulation?

The benefits of blown-In Insulation include:

    • Efficient process installed by knowledgeable team

    • Cost savings

    • Fits in most spaces

    • Improves home energy efficiency
